Review of Stanford Hazy

Stanford Hazy is an alternative rock band based in Helinski, Finland. Their sound could be described as a mix of Classic Rock sound with a modern twist. They have seven songs available on the web on Soundcloud and Spotify. They really shine when they stick to the straightforward hard rock approach to their music. At times, Stanford Hazy will insert some rap segments into their hard rock music much like Linkin Park, but I prefer it when they stick to the hard rocking attack of guitar, bass, and …

Anodine debut album "Passages" review

Anodine is a project driven by the German multi-instrumentalist Patrick Heyer. Their debut album “Passages” was released in January 2013. The album features 16 songs of atmospheric rock with really strong and interesting melodies. I would describe their sound as a cross between Nine Inch Nails and Korn with a little David Bowie thrown in for some spice. Patrick has a really dark and foreboding voice that really carries most of the album. He creates really memorable melodies that carry you on …

On first listening, his style reminds me of a cross between Enrique Iglesias and Elton John. “Joy” is a standout track …

"Tokyo Roadhouse Sonic Sex Castle" by Slumlord Radio" - EP Review

Tokyo Roadhouse Sonic Sex Castle" EP by Slumlord Radio From the very first riff and growl on the new Slumlord Radio five song EP "Tokyo Roadhouse Sonic Sex Castle,” Slumlord Radio let you know they are ready to rock out on their new release. Energy is the word to describe “Fort Knox.” The boys drive some of these riffs like a beer can to the head on a drunken Saturday night in your favorite dive bar, which is exactly where Slumlord Radio likes to hang out I’m sure. …
